GlowUp was preparing to launch its brand website and needed a motion teaser to generate buzz and build anticipation within its audience ahead of the go-live date. The goal was to craft a short, visually striking video that felt unmistakably on-brand — capturing GlowUp’s personality, aesthetic, and energy in a way that left viewers wanting more. In the beauty and cosmetics space, first impressions are everything, and this teaser needed to make one that stuck.

The Challenge
A website teaser in the beauty space has to do something specific — it needs to feel aspirational, polished, and exciting all at once, without revealing so much that it removes the intrigue. The challenge with GlowUp was nailing that balance: building real anticipation while keeping the full brand experience a mystery. Every visual choice — from the pacing of text reveals to the colour mood — had to work together to make a viewer stop scrolling and pay attention.
Doing this within a single week meant creative decisions had to be made quickly and confidently, with a production pipeline that left no room for scope creep or prolonged back-and-forth.

Our Strategy & Approach
The process opened with a creative direction session — defining the mood, visual language, and emotional tone the teaser needed to hit before touching any tools. Figma was used to map out the visual flow and key moments within the teaser, ensuring there was a clear creative throughline from the first frame to the last before animation began.
After Effects drove the full production, with each scene built to feel deliberately crafted — smooth transitions, well-timed text reveals, and motion that felt more editorial than commercial. The pacing was treated as a creative choice in itself, giving the audience just enough to feel drawn in without giving the full story away. DaVinci Resolve handled the final colour grade, pulling everything into a cohesive visual mood that matched GlowUp’s brand aesthetic. The one-week window was managed through a focused brief, fast creative alignment, and a single tight revision cycle — keeping the energy where it belonged: on the work.
