Project Overview
MASZ Africa required a cohesive and compelling animated brand identity to strengthen its visual communication across digital touchpoints. The goal of this project was to translate the company’s established brand elements into dynamic motion graphics that convey professionalism, operational strength, and regional authority within the mining and engineering sector.

The Challenge
MASZ Africa operated within a highly technical and industrial sector where brand perception is directly tied to trust and competitiveness. The core challenge was translating a complex industrial brand identity into motion graphics that were visually compelling without losing the gravitas and professionalism required to engage high-level decision-makers and international partners.
Additionally, the two-week turnaround demanded efficient asset management, precise creative direction, and streamlined revision cycles to deliver polished animations without compromising quality.

Our Strategy & Approach
The strategy was built around a structured motion design process that prioritised brand fidelity and purposeful animation. It began with a thorough brand audit—reviewing MASZ Africa’s existing identity assets, color language, and typography to ensure all motion work remained anchored to the established visual system. From there, a storyboarding phase mapped out the animation sequences, establishing clear motion logic and timing hierarchies before any production began.
The production phase leveraged After Effects for primary animation, with DaVinci Resolve used for color grading and final video output, ensuring cinematic quality across all deliverables. Figma supported the design handoff and asset preparation stage. Continuous review checkpoints throughout the two-week sprint allowed for rapid iteration and alignment with the client’s creative expectations, ensuring the final outputs were both technically sound and strategically resonant.
